
Hasan Morshed’s 10 years behind the camera
In 2012, a passionate individual named Hasan Morshed took his first steps in front of the camera, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the Bangladeshi drama industry and advertising. Over the past ten years, he has left an indelible mark on the media industry with his possession and combination of creativity and talent, while earning acclaim and awards along the way.
Morshed’s small screen debut came with the popular drama ‘Jorda Jamal,’ a production that not only garnered him a nomination for ‘The Best Director Award’ at the Meril-Prothom Alo Award 2013 but also secured a nomination in the coveted ‘The Best Drama’ category. “Jorda Jamal ” is a comedy starring one of the most talented actors, Mosharraf Karim and Nowshin. It has been praised for its entertaining performances and engaging plot . The accolades continued to pour in as he clinched the Best Director Award for ‘Opur Opekkhae’ at the RTV Star Awards in the same year. And the journey is still continuing.
Mohammed Morshed’s portfolio stands as a testament to his exceptional talent and incessant commitment to the art of storytelling. Among his noteworthy works are ‘The Gentlemen,’ a cinematic masterpiece that captivates audiences with its compelling narrative and brilliant execution.

In 2021, the agency underwent a transformation, emerging with a new identity as ‘Urbo Films.’ Throughout his advertising career, Morshed crafted approximately 200 successful ad campaigns, leaving an indelible mark on both local and international brands.
As the curtain falls on a decade of accomplishments, Hasan Morshed now sets his sights on the silver screen with his production house, Urbo Films. We believe that from his past achievements, Hasan will spread his creative aura in cinema’s as well. An announcement of his directorial debut on celluloid may come soon.
